A training course under instrument flight rules for the qualification according to FAA rules.
With this qualification you’ll be able to fly an aircraft registered in the United States under IFR.
If you want to be able to fly an aircraft registered in the United States under IFR, you must have an IR qualification issued according to the FAA regulation. Professional Aviation is the only flight school in Italy able to offer you with both the course and the in-flight exam, which can both be achieved at our headquarters in Ozzano and using our aircraft.
The course consists of 40 hours of flight with the FAA instructor and a theoretical part that is carried out in parallel and on the same days in which you come to fly. At the end, the examiner will let you take the in-flight exam to be able to issue you the license.
The advantage of having an IFR FAA is also that, once you have accumulated at least 50 hours as PIC (Pilot in command) IFR, you can easily convert it into an IR EASA and, therefore, you will also be able to fly European-registered aircraft under IFR.
